THE ORANGE COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO.

San Juan Capistrano Sheriff's Department stationThe City of San Juan Capistrano, a city in southern Orange County, California, that was officially incorporated in 1961. However, the area of South Orange County that has been known as San Juan Capistrano was first established around Mission San Juan Capistrano; founded by Spanish missionaries in 1776.

The City of San Juan Capistrano has an estimated population was 36,000. The demographics of the San Juan Capistrano are White 54%, Hispanic 37%, Two or more races 4%, Asian 4%, Other race 1%, African American 1%, American Indian or Alaska native 0% and Hawaiian or other Pacific Islander 0%.

The City of San Juan Capistrano contracts with the Orange County Sheriff’s Department for its police services. They deploy out of the San Juan Capistrano Station, located at 32506 Paseo Adelanto
San Juan CapistranoCalifornia

The San Juan Capistrano Station Captain is Justin Montano, who is one of the most honest and honorable members of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. However, he cannot ride in the patrol cars with his subordinate deputy sheriffs, and those deputies often violate the federal constitutional and California state rights of the public.

CRIMINAL STREET GANGS IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO.

San Juan Capistrano 13 Varrio Viejo jpgThe Varrio Viejo gang has been officially recognized in San Juan Capistrano. The Varrio Viejo gang has more than 100 members and active participants. The Varrio Viejo gang claims the entire City of San Juan Capistrano as its territory, with The Villas as its “main hub of activity.” See, People v. Ruiz, Case No. G055935, Court of Appeal of The State of California, Fourth Appellate District Division Three May 16, 2019.

The Varrio Viejo gang’s primary activities include assault with a deadly weapon, robbery, and felony vandalism. He testified gang members also commonly make criminal threats and brandish weapons. He stated these activities further the purpose of the gang by “instilling fear in the community.” The Varrio Viejo gang’s primary rival gang is the San Clemente Varrio Chico gang. MANY OF THE POLICE IN SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND ARE INSTITUTIONALLY DISHONEST.

The deputy sheriffs who patrol the City of San Juan Capistrano Police have a long and well-deserved reputation for falsely arresting, beating and, sometimes even killing, innocents. Due to having to deal with criminal street gang members on a daily basis, many of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs who patrol the streets of San Juan Capistrano have adopted the attitude that “We’re the baddest gang in town“.

Orange County Sheriff's Department SWAT team membersThose deputies who have adopted that gangster mentality often treat basically innocent law-abiding citizens like street gangsters. When in turn those innocent basically innocent law-abiding citizens get treated like street gangsters, they often verbally protest or verbally challenge Sheriff’s Department Deputies orders and actions. When that happens, those basically innocent law-abiding citizens are now considered to be in “Contempt of Cop“. See, The “Contempt of Cop Game”; How Well Can You Play?, steeringlaw.com.

When the police deem basically law-abiding citizens are deemed to be in “Contempt of Cop“, they often end-up becoming the victims of police beatings, tasings, pepper-sprayings and even shootings, coupled with false arrests and malicious criminal prosecutions for some fabricated “resistance offense” such as Cal. Penal Code § 148(a)(1) (resisting/delaying/obstructing an officer), Cal. Penal Code § 240/241 (assault on officer), Cal. Penal Code § 242 / 243(b) & (c) (battery on an officer causing injury) and Cal. Penal Code § 245(c) (assault on officer with weapon).

This is normal. This happens every day in Orange County, California, and it could happen to you.

IF YOU ARE THE VICTIM OF POLICE MISCONDUCT, JERRY L. STEERING CAN HELP YOU ACTUALLY ENFORCE YOUR RIGHTS BY WINNING YOUR CASE.

Screen Capture from LA ABC 7 Interview of JLS on Jovan Jimenez caseThe only thing that matters when enforcing your rights, is whether you win your case. If you don’t win your case, then you have no rights because you have no way to enforce them.

Just because the police violated your constitutional rights doesn’t mean that you can do anything about it. In order to “do something about it”, to enforce your constitutional rights, it takes a great deal of experience, insights, skill and savvy. You need a unanimous jury of usually 8 jurors to vote in your favor in federal court to win your case. If you mouth-off to the cops or don’t do what the police tell you to do or cuss out the cops, or act like a jerk, one or more of the jurors in your case may not vote for you. That is the reality in which we all live.
