THE POLICE IN LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE ARE A BRUTAL, CORRUPT AND DISHONEST.

City of La Cañada Flintridge contracts its police services with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, headquartered for the La Cañada Flintridge area out of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station located at 4554 Briggs Ave. La Crescenta, California.

LASD EXECUTIONERS TATTOO - captioned 2The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is a terribly troubled agency, that at the Station Level is run by actual criminal Deputy Gangs; some of which deputies actually need to murder someone on the job to join; no joke. For example, the Deputy Gang at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Compton Station’s, the “Executioners” actually requires gang “prospects” to murder a civilian on the job. See, “Executioner’ gang dominates Compton sheriff station, Los Angeles Times, July 20, 2020.

The Deputy Gang culture at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has gotten so bad, the last few sheriffs have been powerless to do anything about that agency’s gang problem. Recently, Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna announced a ban on those deputy gangs, but that only happened after the California Legislature actually passed laws banning these Deputy Gangs. See, Sheriff’s Department announces long-awaited policy banning deputy gangs, Los Angeles Times, September 18, 2024.

In 2021 the California Legislature enacted Cal. Pen. Code § 13670, that provides that all California police agencies ban officer gangs within their department, and defined police gangs as:

(2) “Law enforcement gang” means a group of peace officers within a law enforcement agency who may identify themselves by a name and may be associated with an identifying symbol, including, but not limited to, matching tattoos, and who engage in a pattern of on-duty behavior that intentionally violates the law or fundamental principles of professional policing, including, but not limited to, excluding, harassing, or discriminating against any individual based on a protected category under federal or state antidiscrimination laws, engaging in or promoting conduct that violates the rights of other employees or members of the public, violating agency policy, the persistent practice of unlawful detention or use of excessive force in circumstances where it is known to be unjustified, falsifying police reports, fabricating or destroying evidence, targeting persons for enforcement based solely on protected characteristics of those persons, theft, unauthorized use of alcohol or drugs on duty, unlawful or unauthorized protection of other members from disciplinary actions, and retaliation against other officers who threaten or interfere with the activities of the group.

LASD Sheriff Robert Luna 2However, as most of the Deputy Gangs at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department run various Sheriff’s Department stations, in the real world the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department would have to fire about one-third of its deputies to rid itself of those Deputy Gangs.

One would think that when the State of California bans Deputy Gangs that a “law enforcement agency” would enforce that law. However, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is not a “law enforcement agency”, but a political entity that selectively enforces certain laws for their own political benefit.

Moreover, the public’s memories are about two weeks, and the citizens of Los Angeles County continues to tolerate the existence of these Deputy Gangs.
