The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department patrols the City of Duarte out the Temple Sheriff’s Station 8838 Las Tunas Drive, Temple City, California. Unfortunately, that same Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is a brutal agency that is run by Deputy Gangs, notwithstanding the California legislature enacting laws banning deputy gangs in California police agencies. The last few Los Angeles County Sheriffs have been powerless to do anything about that agency’s gang problem. Although Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna announced a ban on those deputy gangs, little or nothing has or will change that agency’s deputy gang culture. Regular line deputy sheriff’s run the various Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department stations, including making the work schedules, including who get the overtime. The stations are officially headed by Captains, but they are powerless to confront of overrule the gangsters who run their respective stations. Some of the “Deputy Gangs” like the Compton Station’s “Executioners” actually require prospects to murder someone on the job to be admitted to that gang. Thereafter, newly admitted deputy gang members attend “Inking Parties”, where the get their “Station Tattoos”. This is no joke. In 2021 the California legislature banned these police gangs at police agencies in California with the enactment of Cal. Pen. Code § 13670. However, deputy gangs persist at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, and they still run the various stations.
