As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge”.

THE POLICE IN RANCHO PALOS VERDES ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND ARE INSTITUTIONALLY DISHONEST.

Rancho Palos Verdes beach sceneRancho Palos Verdes is a coastal city located in south Los Angeles County, California with an estimated population of 43,000 residents. The city of Rancho Palos Verdes sits atop the bluffs of the Palos Verdes Peninsula, neighboring three other cities in the Palos Verdes Hills, namely Palos Verdes EstatesRolling Hills, and Rolling Hills Estates.

Demographically, the City of Rancho Palos Verdes is 46% White, 32% Asian, 12% Hispanic, 7% Two or more races, 2% African American and 1% other race. The median household income is $175,307 and the median property value is $1,540,000.00.

The City of Rancho Palos Verdes contracts its police services with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department that deploys to patrol Rancho Palos Verdes out of the Lomita Sheriff’s Station, located at
26123 Narbonne Avenue, Lomita, California.

Although the city of Rancho Palos Verdes is basically an upscale city with plenty of wealthy residents, it nonetheless has its share of street gang related crime, including street gang shootings. Lunada Bay BoysRancho Palos Verdes also has (believe it or not) a “surf gang”; gang of surfers that literally run off non-member surfers from surfing on their turf (their beach). See, Civil trial over Southern California surf gang ‘localism’ kicks off, Courthouse News Service, August 5, 2024 (civil trial over one of America’s most notorious surf gangs, the Lunada Bay Boys, and the wealthy city that is accused of looking the other way while the Bay Boys jealously guarded their turf) and Federal lawsuit claims Palos Verdes Estates surfers are a criminal street gang, The Daily Breeze, September 6, 2017 (A federal class-action lawsuit filed against the Lunada Bay Boys, a group of territorial Palos Verdes Estates surfers known for intimidating visitors from their beloved coastal bluff, argues that the group is a criminal street gang and should be banned from gathering together).

Besides white-boy surfer gangs, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, the police agency that patrols the streets (and beaches) of Rancho Palos Verdes is riddled with gangs of Deputy Sheriffs at its various Sheriff’s Department stations. Although due to its high income / affluent population, Rancho Palos Verdes is not riddled with Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputy gangs, Sheriff’s Department abuse of Rancho Palos Verdes is alive and well. Most of the times, deputy abuse of Rancho Palos Verdes residents arise in the context of “Contempt of Cop” situations; situations when basically law-abiding citizens verbally protest or verbally challenge police actions or orders.

The San Diego County Sheriff's Department Routinely Arrests Innocents in their Drunk in Public SweepsSo, when basically law-abiding citizens verbally protest or verbally challenge police actions or orders, such as ordering motorists to exit their cars during traffic stops and submit to being frisked or proned-out on the street or made to sit on the curb, the deputies often will beat or tase or pepper-spray them, and them falsely arrest and procure the malicious criminal prosecution for some fabricated resistance offense such as violation of Cal. Penal Code § 69 (resisting officer with force), Cal. Penal Code § 148(a)(1) (resisting/delaying/obstructing a officer), Cal. Penal Code § 240/241 (assault on officer), Cal. Penal Code § 242 / 243(b) & (c) (battery on an officer causing injury) and Cal. Penal Code § 245(c) (assault on officer with weapon). This is not lefty propaganda; this is reality.
