As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge” THE POLICE IN THE CITY OF LAWNDALE ARE BRUTAL AND INSTITUTIONALLY DISHONEST. The City of Lawndale contracts its police services with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, South Los Angeles station 15331 Prairie Ave, Lawndale, California. Unfortunately, over the past 50 years the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has been run at the station level by deputy gangs that actually bear station tattoos, and act as bad and even worse than your typical Los Angeles County street gang. That agency has a culture within that agency of various “gangs of officers”, who routinely beat, torture, maim and kill members of the jails, and of the community, for fun; for the honor of the gang. Everybody is a scumbag and have no rights. See, A Tradition of Violence The History of Deputy Gangs in the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department, KNOCK LA. See also, Gangs within the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are banned with new policy, CBS News, September 19, 2024. Banditos and Executioners tattoos Some of these Deputy Gangs, like the “Banditos” in the East Los Angeles Station, or the “Executioner” gangs in the Compton Station, actually require that a deputy actually murder a civilian on the job to be a member of those gangs. When they are admitted, the newly admitted deputy sheriff gang members is tattooed with the station tattoo at an “Inking Party”. “The Banditos gang “controls the East Los Angeles station like inmates running a prison yard.” Leaders, known as “shot-callers,” determined deputies’ hours, promotions, even days off. On patrol, they operated in the gray areas of law enforcement. Gonzalez said that they perpetuated “the code of silence, the culture of the ghetto gunslinger.” She added, “What makes East L.A. so unique is it’s embedded within the Hispanic machismo culture and the Hispanic street gangs.”” See, The L.A. County Sheriff’s Deputy-Gang Crisis, the New Yorker, May 30, 2022. “The Executioners” deputy gang at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also runs that station like your Los Angeles street gang, with line deputy “shot callers”, and with severe consequences for any deputy or supervisor challenging “The Executioners” rule of that station and its deputies. See, “Executioners”: Deputy gang with matching tattoos rules Compton station, LASD deputy alleges”, KABC& News. In 2021 the California legislature banned police gangs at police agencies in California with the enactment of Cal. Pen. Code § 13670, that provided that all California police agencies ban officer gangs within their department. However, the gang culture at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has gotten so bad, the last few sheriffs have been powerless to do anything about that agency’s gang problem. In 2024 Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna announced a ban on those deputy gangs. See, Sheriff’s Department announces long-awaited policy banning deputy gangs, Los Angeles Times, September 18, 2024. However, nothing has, and in reality, nothing is going to change. No one ever got elected to public office in the United States of America ever got elected to office by promising to protect the public from the police.
