As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge” THE POLICE IN LAKEWOOD ARE BRUTAL AND EVEN HOMICIDAL GANG MEMBERS, WHO ROUTINELY FRAME THEIR BEATING VICTIMS. The City of Lakewood contracts with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department for it’s police services. The Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department has a culture within that agency of various “gangs of officers”, who routinely beat, torture, maim and kill members of the jails, and of the community, for fun; for the honor of the gang. Everybody is a scumbag and have no rights. The deputy gang culture at the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department became so bad, that in 2021 the California Legislature banned deputy gangs at any California police agency with the enactment of Cal. Pen. Code § 13670. Notwithstanding the enactment of Cal. Pen. Code § 13670, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is still rife with these gangs of deputy sheriffs who routinely beat, shoot, falsely arrest and frame their victims. Moreover, even with the enactment of Cal. Pen. Code § 13670 the gang culture at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department is so bad, the last few sheriffs have been powerless to do anything about that agency’s gang problem. Although Sheriff Robert Luna announced a ban on those deputy gangs, virtually nothing has happened and these deputy gangs still run the various Sheriff’s Department stations, including the Lakewood Station. See, Sheriff’s Department announces long-awaited policy banning deputy gangs, Los Angeles Times, September 18, 2024. Early in 2023, investigators at the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department learned that a group of deputies at the Lakewood station shared a common tattoo: a spade with the number 13. They all knew this, but this is the line put out by the Sheriff’s Department pursuant to the Inspector General’s Investigation of deputy gangs at that agency. “Despite a new California law aimed at addressing law enforcement gangs, and a new administration,” oversight officials wrote, “the Sheriff’s Department has, to date, never undertaken an investigation aimed at identifying every member of any subgroup or determining whether any of those groups engage in a pattern of conduct that violates the law or Department policy.” Cursory deputy gang probes at Lakewood, Industry stations criticized in watchdog report, Los Angeles Times, March 1, 2024. Accordingly, if you are stopped by a deputy sheriff in Lakewood, shut your mouth and do whatever the deputy tells you to do without protest or comment, and you may not get beaten or shot; no joke.
