Screen Capture from LA ABC 7 Interview of JLS on Jovan Jimenez caseJerry L. Steering is a Police Misconduct Attorney who has been suing the police since 1984 for police brutality / excessive force, malicious prosecutions, false arrests and wrongful deaths in Brea, Orange County, and throughout California.

Mr. Steering is an Expert and Specialist in suing state and local police officers in federal court for constitutional violations. Mr. Steering practices law in Brea, California and throughout the State of California.

In the 1990s, Mr. Steering obtained a $600,000.00 settlement for a Brea resident who refused to sell her property to the City of Brea for its redevelopment plans in downtown Brea, claiming that her property was not being condemned for a legitimate public purpose.

THE BREA POLICE ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND ROUTINELY ARREST THEIR VICTIMS FOR RESISTANCE OFFENSES.

The Brea Police have a long history of retaliating against civilians who verbally challenge their actions or authority, by tasing, or pepper-spraying or clubbing them with their batons, followed by a false arrest for some imaginary resistance offense. After all, how would it look if they used force on someone, by claim no legal justification for doing so.

Therefore, the Brea Police will routinely charge their beating victims with some “resistance offense” to attempt to shift the blame from them to you; that you committed some crime that necessitated them having to use for upon you. This is normal in the real world of policing.

JERRY L. STEERING HAS A LONG SUCCESSFUL RECORD OF SUING THE POLICE

The only rights that you have in this world are those rights that you can enforce. The only way that you can enforce any such constitutional rights is to have a mostly white, mostly conservative, and definitely cop-loving jurors to unanimously vote for you and condemn the police. This is a very difficult thing to do anywhere, but especially in Orange County, California, where the jurors love the cops.
