As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge”. 63665 29 Palms Hwy Joshua Tree, California 92252The Yucca Valley Police Department is a very cruel and brutal entity. There is almost no limit what they will do to protect themselves from the victims of their outrages. They beat, falsely arrest and procure the malicious criminal prosecutions of their victims. THE POLICE IN YUCCA VALLEY ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND ARE INSTITUTIONALLY DISHONEST. The Town of Yucca Valley contracts its police services with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department for its police services. The deputy sheriffs who patrol Yucca Valley deploy out of the Yucca Valley Patrol Station, located at 63665 29 Palms Highway, Joshua Tree, California. No one ever got elected to public office in this country by promising to protect the public from the police, and San Bernardino County is no different. Unfortunately, especially in the more rural areas of San Bernardino County, the deputy sheriffs patrolling those areas follow the shoot first, ask questions second protocol. They do this in large part because no matter how outrageous the conduct of San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs may be, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office will always find such deputy outrages to have been proper and justified. So, for example, in the case of Daryll Joel Speer, he was running away from San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs and was crawling-up the bank of a flood channel when he was shot in the back by the deputies. The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office found that outrageous shooting to have been justified self-defense by the deputies, notwithstanding that they were never in any danger at all. See, OIS Review of Daryll Joel Speer. See also, the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office “Use of Force Reviews” Webpage. However, when there is a situation where there is a stark video recording that is just so outrageous that the politicians have to criminally prosecute the deputy, they will do so, but in a manner to minimize civil liability to the County coffers. See, Deputy Found Guilty For 2015 Beating of Francis Pusok, Victor Valley News Group, March 30, 2017. Bit of advice: If you are stopped by a deputy sheriff in Yucca Valley, shut your mouth, be polite to the deputy and do whatever the deputy tells you to do. Otherwise you will be deemed to be in “Contempt of Cop”, and will likely be beaten, or tased, or pepper-sprayed, and falsely arrested and possibly maliciously prosecuted for some fabricated “resistance offense” such as violation of Cal. Penal Code § 69 (resisting officer with force), Cal. Penal Code § 148(a)(1) (resisting/delaying/obstructing a officer), Cal. Penal Code § 240/241 (assault on officer), Cal. Penal Code § 242 / 243(b) & (c) (battery on officer causing injury) and Cal. Penal Code § 245(c) (assault on officer with weapon). Don’t think that it can’t happen to you, because it can. In fact, if you are reading this article, you probably now realize that constitutionally protected conduct such as verbal protest or verbal challenge to police orders or action will result in these terrible consequences to you.
