As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge”.

THE POLICE IN VICTORVILLE ARE OFTEN BRUTAL AND ARE TRULY INSTITUTIONALLY DISHONEST.

The City of Victorville contracts its police services with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department that deploys its patrol operations out of the Victorville Station, located at 14200 Amargosa Road Victorville, California.

San Beranrdino County Sheriff's Dept SWATThe San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs have for a long time been simply out of control “Up the Hill”; that area of San Bernardino County North of the Cajon Pass, from Hesperia to Adelanto. Victorville is the largest city in that area known as the Victor Valley. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department is an agency with a long and well-earned reputation for brutality, false arrest and malicious criminal prosecutions.

One example of Mr. Steering’s cases in Victorville is the case of Jeffrey Darr v. County of San Bernardino. In that case, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriff James “Buddy” Wiebeld, attempted to frame the husband, Jeffrey Darr for manufacturing methamphetamine by planting meth chemicals and meth “cooking” equipment in his home. Wiebeld did so to have Mr. Darr imprisoned, so he could pursue a romantic relationship with Mrs. Darr.

Mr. Steering was able to prove the attempted frame-up of Mr. Darr and successfully sued Wiebeld and San Bernardino County for attempting to frame Mr. Darr.

Other cases of great notoriety in Victorville is the case of Francis Pusok v. County of San Bernardino.

Francis Pusok assaulted a convenience store clerk and was being pursued by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs. Pusok left his car and stole a horse, and rode the horse outside of Victorville into the desert terrain, terrain that the pursuing deputies had to traverse on foot.

When the deputies finally caught up with Francis Pusok, he proned himself down on the ground to surrender to the deputies. However, rather than just putting the handcuffs on Mr. Pusok, the deputies tased and beat him, including kicking him in his testicles.

However, they did not know that there was a KNBC4 News helicopter hovering over the Sheriff’s Department chopper. That KNBC4 News helicopter video recorded the deputies beating Mr. Pusok, and one of them was criminally convicted for that beating. See, Deputy Found Guilty For 2015 Beating of Francis Pusok, Apple Valley News, March 30, 2017. See the video of that beating of Mr. Pusok at Deputies punch, kick man after horse chase.

Mr. Steering has also been able to obtain jury verdicts against San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputy sheriffs for beating a totally innocent man in the Victorville area during a bogus search warrant execution. See, Daniel Morgan v. County of San Bernardino, $714,000.00 award. See also Mr. Steering’s San Bernardino County page for examples of his case victories in San Bernardino County.
