As the old saying goes, “The young lawyer knows the law, but the old lawyer knows the Judge” THE POLICE IN LUCERNE VALLEY ARE BRUTAL AND SYSTEMICALLY DISHONEST. Lucerne Valley is a valley in the southern Mojave Desert, in western San Bernardino County, California. Lucerne Valley lies east of the Victor Valley, whose population nexus includes Victorville, Apple Valley, Adelanto and Hesperia. The Lucerne Valley is policed by the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department; a police agency with a long and well-deserved reputation for brutality, false arrests and procuring malicious criminal prosecutions for various “resistance offenses”. In a nutshell, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department “Up the Hill (i.e. the High Desert areas of San Bernardino County including the Lucerne Valley) are the “inmates are running the asylum“. There is no supervision of any real sort and these deputies “Up the Hill” (i.e. from Hesperia through Adelanto and also including the Lucerne Valley) are just running wild; like the beating of Francis Pusok (the horse thief case). See video of Francis Pusok beating at, “Man Beaten By Police After Chase Speaks Out” | All In | MSNBC. In that case, Francis Pusok was being pursued by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department in his car. He ditched his car and stole a horse, and rode the horse off-road up a hill between the Joshua Trees. The pursuing San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department could not drive their patrol cars to apprehend Pusok and had to run after him on foot while Pusok was eluding them on horseback. The deputies knew that a San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department helicopter had joined the pursuit of Pusok and was hovering overhead. However, they were not aware that an NBC helicopter was hovering over the Sheriff’s Department helicopter. Accordingly, when they surrounded Pusok, he laid down on the ground and proned himself out to surrender to the deputies. However, the deputies wanted some “curbside justice”, and kicked the surrendering Pusok in his testicles, in his head and otherwise beat him. These deputies knew that their fellow deputies in the helicopter were not going to report the totally unjustified beating of Pusok, but the NBC helicopter crew video recorded Pusok’s beating and played the beating on the Los Angeles TV station KNBC. The Pusok beating shows insight into the brutal and creepy nature of the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department deputies in the Lucerne Valley. MR.
