Police Misconduct Attorney Jerry L. Steering has been suing the police since 1984 for police brutality, false arrests, malicious criminal prosecutions and First Amendment retaliation cases. Mr. Steering in an Expert and Specialist in suing the police in federal court for constitutional violations in the City of Gardena, throughout Los Angeles County, and throughout the State of California. Mr. Steering has also sued the government as far away as in federal court in Alabama and in the District of Columbia. GARDENA POLICE DEPARTMENT POLICE OFFICERS ARE BRUTAL AND DISHONEST. Gardena Police Department police officers have a longstanding reputation for being brutal street gangsters with a badge. The former Mayor of Gardena was the former Undersheriff of Los Angeles County, Paul Tanaka. Paul Tanaka was a former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department gang member of the Vikings Gangs at the Lynwood Station; a gang that the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has found to be a Neo-Nazi White Supremacist criminal gang with the Sheriff’s Department. See, Deputies in ‘Neo-Nazi’ Gang, Judge Found : Sheriff’s Department: Many at Lynwood office have engaged in racially motivated violence against blacks and Latinos, jurist wrote, Los Angeles Times, October 21, 1991. Many years later, when Sheriff’s Department Vikings Gang leader Paul Tanaka was the Undersheriff of Los Angeles County, he along with former Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Lee Baca, where convicted in federal court of threatening investigating an FBI agent who was investigating the Sheriff’s Department for beatings in the Los Angeles County Jails, and was sentenced to federal prison. See, Paul Tanaka, Former No. 2 in the Los Angeles Sheriff’s Department, Sentenced to Five Years in Federal Prison for Obstructing Federal Investigation into Misconduct at County Jails, United States Department of Justice, June 27, 2016. Although Paul Tanaka is now long gone from the Gardena Mayor’s Office, his legacy of brutal policing and framing the innocent victims of Gardena Police outrages continues. Mr. Steering has won a false arrest case against the Gardena Police Department in the case of Landrum Thomas v. City of Gardena. In that case Mr. Steering obtained a jury finding that the Gardena Police Department actually had a policy of arresting innocents for Contempt of Cop; in this case, for video recording Gardena Police Department police officers who were beating a young man who was fleeing from the police. See final Judgment in Thomas v. City of Gardena. IF YOU ARE THE VICTIM OF POLICE MISCONDUCT, JERRY L. STEERING CAN HELP YOU.
